Position Details:

 

CVICU

Fast paced, high acuity cardio-vascular unit utilizing a multidisciplinary approach (unit based NP’s/PA’s, Residents, Clinical RN Specialist) caring for patients who have undergone many types of cardiac and vascular surgeries, including CABG, valve replacements/repairs, and complex aortic procedures. Patients require intensive monitoring, hemodynamic management, and ventilatory support. Our growing cardiovascular surgical services requires candidates who not only are adept at learning highly technical skills, but also are capable of the critical thinking, compassion, and collaboration necessary to achieve optimal outcomes for this complicated and fascinating patient population.

 

Candidates must have 1 strong year of CVICU experience OR very strong ICU experience. Must be experienced with hemodynamic monitoring. Ability to coordinate care of patients and directs assistive personnel in order to provide quality, safe care. Needs to work in a collaborative fashion with physicians, physician extenders, colleagues, and family members.
