Cancer Network Administrator

The Cancer Network Administrator will work directly with Cancer Center and Cancer Network leadership to develop programs, services and approaches that support the development of community based cancer programs at select community hospitals throughout Eastern Pennsylvania and Central and Southern New Jersey. The Network Administrator will work with the medical and administrative leadership at assigned Cancer Network hospitals, on an on-going basis, to assess the status of the cancer program at each Network Institution. At a minimum, programmatic components to be assessed should include: availability of subspecialty services; American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer accreditation status; clinical research program; tumor registry services; cancer conferences; professional education programs; community education & outreach and marketing/public relations. Based on the assessment, the Cancer Network Administrator will collaborate with the Network Hospital's leadership to identify, implement and evaluate strategies to develop and enhance the current cancer program. All activities of this position must support the mission of the Abramson Cancer Center of the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Pennsylvania Health System. Qualifications: Health Care Professional -- Professional Nurse preferred; Master's degree in Nursing, Health Care Administration, Social Services or related field required. Experience in working with community hospitals, non-profit organizations, community groups, physicians, health professionals, and hospital administrators. 5+ years oncology experience (clinical practice/education/research) 3-5 years management/program development experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Well Organized. Track record in managing many multi-faceted projects and dead-lines.
