Job Description Being one of the top 5 Heart Hospitals in the United States, we perform over 2500 open heart surgeries annually. Combined with our many other specialties, we can offer challenge and growth in the Critical Care areas of nursing. The Cardiac Respiratory Care Unit is a 32-bed unit that is divided into 2 separate units: a 20 bed and 12 bed unit, having a charge nurse on each unit. Cardiac, Respiratory, Septic, Renal patients. The Assistant Clinical Nurse Manager is a registered professional nurse with direct shift responsibility for the quality and continuity of patient care for specific age groups identified by the standards of care. The Assistant Clinical Nurse Manager provides leadership in the delivery of care and nursing practice within the clinical unit. The Assistant Clinical Nurse Manager participates in unit employee selection through interviewing and the hiring process. Directs and evaluates personnel according to hospital, nursing and unit philosophy and objectives. The Assistant Clinical Nurse Manager is a role model and resource person guiding staff in the development of skills and capabilities. The Assistant Clinical Nurse Manager develops unit activities that support the elements of extending excellence. Adheres to the Florida Hospital Corporate Compliance Plan and to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state and federal agencies and accrediting bodies.
