Cardiac Cath Lab -Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

Job Details: JOB SUMMARY: The Cath Lab diagnostic specialist operates and maintains radiologic and digital processing equipment. Assist the cardiologist in scrubbing, circulating, and hemodynamic monitoring during diagnostic, EP and therapeutic cardiac catherization procedures. Ensures radiation safety principles and assists with patient transportation. Additionally, the cath lab diagnostic specialist is responsible for providing age specific care, education and imaging procedures in a team environment. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate of an AMA accredited radiology program and ARRT certified. State of California certified (CRT) required Fluoroscopy certification required Current CPR certification (Issued by American Heart Association or Red Cross provider) Minimum of 3 years experience as a performing radiologic technologist Additional experience in area of diagnostic/special procedures is recommended Has demonstrated expertise in the field of radiologic technology Knowledge of anatomy and physiology, patient care, principles and radiographic exposure, radiation physics, radiobiology and radiation protection Must have good communication skills PREFERRED QUALIFICITIONS: Prior C.T. experience preferred 1-2 years recent experience in an interventional setting EOE/M/F/D/V
