We are currently seeking an experienced RN with a solid clinical background to become our newest Telephonic Case Manager in our Trumbull, CT or White Plains, NY office. If you are ready to explore your full potential with a well-respected Fortune 50 Company, we invite you to apply today The Telephonic Case Manager will make medical determinations on the appropriateness of hospitalizations while focusing on the following key responsibilities: Using clinical guidelines and Milliman criteria to authorize payment Reviewing benefits and contacting insurance companies and related vendors Maintaining documentation using medical codes Adhering to clinical methodologies, policies and procedures The requirements for this role are as follows: An RN with a current and unrestricted license in their state of residence Substantial clinical experience in acute care or home healthcare A case management or discharge planning background Computer proficiency Excellent communication skillsAdditional assets include: Clinical experience in med surg/ICU CCM (Certified Case Manager) certification Familiarity with Milliman guidelines A Bachelor’s degreeUnitedHealth Group offers a full range of comprehensive benefits to full-time and part-time employees, including medical, dental and vision, as well as a matching 401k and an employee stock purchase plan.
