Central Materiels Management Specialist

 

Central Materiel Management handles strategic and operational level issues related to procurement of goods and services for Sharp Healthcare. Currently the department has over 400 contracts under management for all types of supplies and minor equipment, including a Prime Med/Surgical distribution contract with Owens & Minor.

This position will be responsible for the training of all the Lawson Requisition Self-Service users throughout the system. Incumbent will present training materials, and create written training documents, and will work with IS to troubleshoot system issues or test new system enhancements relative to RSS. Additionally, selected individual will be trained to be the backup for the current Quality Control Analyst

 

Hours

8-hour shift, start between 7:00 am and 8:30 - coordinate with supervisor.

 

Qualifications

 High School Diploma required - Bachelor Degree preferred.Valid California driver's license required.Three or more years of hospital materials management experience, including some purchasing experience. Lawson experience required. College level education may be substituted for experience.Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work independently. In-depth knowledge of Lawson ordering processes. A high degree of computer literacy including MS-Office, particularly Excel and Access, is essential. Ability to prepare and maintain written training documents. General understanding of accounting processes
