Central Supply Room Technician

 Central Supply Room Technician Reporting to the Central Sterile Supply Supervisor, cleans, assembles, sterilizes and stores instruments and supplies. Job Functions: § Follows hospital and departmental procedures for cleaning, assembly and sterilizing instrumentation.§ Identifies basic instruments and assemblies and wraps basic trays used in operating room as well as other areas according to departmental policy and procedures.§ Performs sterilization processes, both steam and ETO, according to manufacturer and department procedure.§ Cleans, disinfects equipment transport carts.§ Examines linen before use, follows departmental procedures for towel pack preparation and sterilization.§ Maintains supply and instrument storage areas in a clean and orderly condition, reports supply shortages to supervisor, checks package integrity, and reprocesses those items that have been compromised.§ Performs daily departmental housekeeping duties, including cleaning work surfaces, restocking supply areas, and maintaining a neat and orderly work environment.§ Processes instrumentation according to operating room schedule to provide clean and/or sterile equipment for pending cases.§ Other duties as assigned from time to time. Minimum Qualifications:§ Education - High school diploma or equivalent.§ Previous experience§ Licensure and/or Certification - Certification preferred§ Skills - Demonstrated ability to work in groups; attention to detail; proven ability to follow instructions. Interested candidates should apply online at www.emersonhospital.org  Or submit resume to: Emerson Hospital Human Resources 133 ORNAC Concord, MA 01742EOE  Requirements High School or equivalent
