Certified Dental Assistants

Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center Health Care System, a multi-facility community teaching and integrated Health Care System servicing approximately 950 beds is seeking Certified Dental Assistants



 The Certified Dental Assistants prepares patients for treatment including review of chart, receiving and seating patients promptly, provides reassurance to patients. Communicates with Dentist and relays patient mood, questions, fears, comments etc. Prepares and mixes filling materials, prepares instruments, materials and medicaments to be used for each specific procedure by the dentist. Takes X-Rays. Assumes responsibility for all methods of sterilization, decontaminating, scrubbing, packaging and sterilizing all instruments. Maintains sterilization area by re stocking and changing solutions.  Keeps oral operative areas clean of debris during dental procedures by use of suction devices, water, air sprays, cotton rolls by retraction of cheek and tongue. Performs routine maintenance of operatory and equipment on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. Restock Laboratories, replaces expendable parts, cleans treatment areas.  Demonstrate knowledge in properly assembling, maintaining, filing and retrieving medical records. Perform other clerical duties as needed.
