CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT:

 

Job Summary: To assist Residents with services provided in the assisted living program. Identifies special Resident problems and reports them immediately to supervisor or lead individuals. Assumes personal responsibility for following all procedures related to control of equipment and supplies within the unit. Makes frequent observations for indications of change in Resident’s condition during performance of routine Resident care and reports same promptly to charge person/supervisor. Documents the care and treatment provided to Resident and the Resident’s response to care provided. Follows facility procedures for admission, discharge, and transfer of Residents. Listens to Resident and family complaints and comments and reports information to supervisor or charge person/supervisor. Understands and works well within a Resident centered environment and acts as a role model for compassion and understanding towards the Residents, to all staff, guests and families.

 

Education: High School diploma or equivalent required. Current License as Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the State of California required.

 

Experience: A minimum of one year’s experience in working with the frail or elderly population required. Clinic health care experience desirable. Shall have either training or related experience in the job assigned.
