Client Relations Support Manager

Job Summary

 

The Manager is responsible for oversight of the Client Relations Coordinators.  The Manager is responsible for establishing policies & procedures, team objectives, and initiatives that will support the client growth and retention through supporting Client Relationship Managers.  Core functions of the team include client management and project management.  The Manager will guide and motivate their team to accomplish team goals that align with corporate objectives.

 Essential Duties

·  Oversight of the staff that provides support the Client Relationship Managers

·  Provide direction, guidance and education to the team members

·  Facilitate implementation of special projects as identified and evaluate the results

·  Develop and implement team goals and objectives

·  Facilitates communication between Team Members, Client Relationship Manager, Underwriting, Operations and Management

·  Manages personnel activities as required

·  Complete the following benefit documentation:  timesheets, employee performance appraisals, salary increases, and personnel assessments

·  Assist internal and external clients with daily needs

·  Implement and modify policies and procedures

·  Facilitate budget structure

·  Maintain appropriate staffing levels; conduct interviews when necessary

·  Act as CRC / CRM on limited book of business as needed

·  Audit all stop loss contracts, commission sheets, PTE 84-124 disclosure notices, and administrative services agreement for accuracy for all groups serviced out of the Denver and Salt Lake City offices prior to these documents being sent to the client.

.Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

·  Ability to read and understand various forms, documentation, files and information in the Department

·  Basic mathematical skills to verify the accuracy of clerical documents

·  Organizational, technical and interpersonal skills

·  Ability to respond to inquiries and communicate with others by telephone

·  Strong customer service skills

·  Knowledge of computer software and ability to read reports

·  Ability to direct, coach and motivate subordinates

·  Knowledge of Client Relations and Operations procedures

·  Ability to make decisions and exercise authority

·  Strong verbal and written communication skills

 Qualification Standards

High school diploma and two year college degree preferred or any combination of education equivalent to graduation from high school or other combination of education, training and experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential duties of the position.

 

Preferred Qualifications

Four year college degree with Client Management experience and working knowledge of healthcare industry inclusive of self-insured benefit plans is preferred.
