Client Services Representative

Mountain Star Clinical Laboratories a partnership with St. Marks Hopsital, Lakeview Hospital and PAML (Patholgy Assoicates Medical Laboratories) is hiring for the following position:

Client Services Representative:

Position Summary:

 

A Client Service Representative is responsible for providing fast and accurate information upon request and must communicate effectively with our clients that include physicians, their office staff and other laboratory personnel. They are valuable resources internally as well as externally and must stay knowledgeable of all other departments within the laboratory. A Client Service Representative demonstrates a professional and competent manner.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 1. High School Diploma

2. Medical terminology

3. Experience in the medical field

4. Typing skills (min. 30 wpm)

5. Ability to work with accuracy while paying attention to detail

6. Dependable and able to work with minimal supervision

7. Good organizing and planning skills

8. Ability to remain calm in stressful situations

9. Professional and mature manner

 Desired Qualifications

 

1.  Phlebotomy experience

2.  2 year coarse study relating to the medical field

 

 

 Coordinates With:

All other departments

 

Work Conditions:

 

1.  Work area tends to be chaotic and noisy

2.  Exposure to hazardous, toxic and/or infectious specimens, requisitions and chemicals

3.  Stress and pressure situations

4.  Available as needed for weekends, holidays, and on-call coverage

5.  Slight variance in hours and shift

6.  Dress code

 

Essential Job Functions:

 

1.  Answer phone, assisting clients with test results, test requirements, fees and miscellaneous requests

2.  Communication link between client and internal departments

3.  Phoning of Priority/Phone requests and Critical/Panic values to our clients.

4.  Handling of request for patient records

5.  Able to operate office equipment to include, multi-line phone system, computer systems, and Nextel phone system in courier dispatch.

6.  Maintain positive morale

7.  Effective written and verbal communication

8.  Flexible. Able to make necessary adjustments to meet deadlines

9.  Independent judgement and good reasoning ability

10.  Able to handle stressful situations caused by high volume requests from internal and external sources
