Clinical Applications Team Leader/Manager (Radiology/Cardiology)



The Opportunity:  Healthcare organization located in Massachusettsseeks your Clinical Applications Leadership and Management expertise related to Imaging Systems.  In your new role you'll be responsible for planning, organizing and managing tactical and strategic information services delivery related to the departments of Radiology and Cardiology.  You'll assist senior management in developing long and short-range strategic plans for systems architecture and make recommendations concerning trends in Radiology and Cardiology clinical information systems. 

Additional responsibilities include:  Act as the organizations 'link' to current technologies and communicate them to the appropriate management teams.  Represent the IT side of Radiology/Cardiology during Management Meetings to share strategic IS recommendations.  Make recommendations regarding staffing needs to support the operations. Guide selection and implementation of vendor-supplied software packages, including installation, customization and ongoing support and maintenance.  Keep senior management apprised of progress, plans and issues via weekly status reports. Assume overall responsibility (directly or through delegation to other staff members) for personnel management of the department.  Manage the day-to-day operations of the department ensuring that all issues are handled appropriately and resources are effectively utilized.  Manage operating costs and invoice processing for assigned systems and projects.  Formulate, recommend, implement, monitor and control operational and capital budgets within administrative guidelines.


Requirements:  7 or more years of Healthcare IT applications experience with at least one year of responsibility for Radiology and/or Cardiology Clinical Information Systems and medical imaging systems.  3 or more years previous people/team management and leadership responsibilities in an IT applications setting.  Budget management, strong project management skills. 

Compensation:  Pay Range is 100-115k and depends on level of experience and skills related to the position.  Potential for sign-on bonus and/or relocation assistance.
