Clinical Associate - Lindens Program
Description
Bancroft NeuroHealth is dedicated to fostering the highest quality of life for people of all ages with neurological disorders, including developmental disabilities and acquired brain injuries.
Our Lindens Neurobehavioral Stabilization Unit has entry-level, direct care openings for highly motivated individuals who want to learn to help children with behavior disorders. The Lindens is primarily an assessment and treatment facility for children and adolescents diagnosed with autism or other developmental disabilities who exhibit high-rate and/or high-intensity problem behaviors. The Lindens primarily uses Applied Behavior Analysis to assess and treat each child's unique set of problem behaviors.
Continuing Education is an important aspect of employment at the Lindens. We offer all staff the opportunity to participate in behavior analysis trainings, reading groups, and case discussion. Our staff members have the ability to assist in research that is conducted at the Lindens which is then presented annually at regional and international conferences. For staff interested in certification in behavior analysis through the BACB, undergraduate and graduate level courses are offered through Rowan and Temple Universities that satisfy the BCABA course requirement standards.
The Clinical Associate will:
• Participate actively in the learning experiences and life growth of each individual within the program area.
• Supervise and instruct in daily living such as cooking, housekeeping, budgeting, money management, social awareness, interpersonal relationships, personal hygiene, doctor's appointments.
• Act as a role model for the residents and carry out the specific responsibilities of advocate.
• Deal well with various types of problem behaviors (e.g., aggression, self-injury, etc.)
• Implement behavioral assessment/treatment plans, including compliance procedures, and accurately collect direct observation data.
• Maintain all required records & reports as determined by Bancroft policies and procedures and licensing or governing agencies.
• Work with team members from various disciplines (Medical, Psychiatry, Ancillary Therapies, etc.).
Requirements
We are seeking candidates who are:
*Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree or already possesses a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Special Education, or related fields.
*Experience with DD/MR or brain injury populations is preferred, but not required.
*Valid Driver's License without restrictions
*Clean Criminal Background
*Must be able to provide minimum (2) Professional References
This is an entry-level direct care position. Many of our employees are promoted to supervisory positions and /or accepted into top graduate schools. Excellent opportunity to possibly participate in clinical research.
**Full-time, part-time, and substitute positions available. Must be able to work WEEKENDS. Overnight shifts sometimes available.
