Location ~
This position is located in La Mesa, California.

Hours ~
8 hour shift: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, including every 4th weekend.

Qualifications ~
Current California Registered Nurse licensure required.Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.Current CPR certification required.One year acute clinical experience required.Hospice experience helpful but not required. Strong nursing skills required.Excellent time management, problem solving skills, keyboarding skills, and communication skills required.Must have computer competence.Strong desire to "make a difference", and desire to work with cardiac palliative care patients required. Summary ~
Opportunity to make a difference as a nurse. Provide end-of-life care and support to terminal patients and their families. Palliate symptoms and provide support to patients and families during the end-of-life transition. Be a member of a strong interdisciplinary approach to patient care and go home at the end of the day knowing you made a difference. Case managing a hospice patient population; home visits, long term care, assisted living visits.

Physical Requirements ~
Lift/move at least 50 pounds; able to hear and speak on the phone; ability to drive car; speak English well, sit for short periods of time, fine motor dexterity.
