Clinical Services Manager

Company Profile: US Nursing/FASTAFF is a leader in supplying travel nurses to hospitals throughout the U.S. We are located in Greenwood Village and offer industry leading compensation and benefits.

 

Position Summary: Acts as a liaison to both Hospital clients and traveling Healthcare Professionals. Assists the Recruiting Department in selecting most qualified candidates; assists Quality Assurance Manager in maintaining JCAHO standards of operation and offering support to nurses on the road.

 

Essential Duties:

·  Determine department staffing needs to ensure proper resource levels are maintained to meet customer service goals and requirements.

·  Review all candidates for assignments ensuring individual registered nurse candidates meet professional requirements for specific assignment and assist Recruiting Department in selecting most qualified candidate. Conduct interviews with candidates as part of the internal candidate selection process.

·  Discuss potential assignments with recruiters and/or nurses as related to unit, position, responsibilities.

·  Work with account managers to support needs and requirements of new and existing clients.

·  Work with Sales team to communicate and clarify needs of facilities so that appropriate resources are utilized, customer expectations are met, and nurse “leave early” and “termination” incidents are minimized.

·  Act as liaison to client hospitals, discussing specific clinical requirements with unit manager or other hospital representatives.

·  Communicate with healthcare professionals; discuss concerns, problems, offering guidance and coaching while on assignment.

·  Communicate with hospitals to handle concerns regarding Clinical situations, credentials or performance of assigned nurse.

·  Work with IT staff to ensure Clinical Services dataflow is efficient and is maintained in compliance with best business practices.

 

Education/Experience:

·  Must possess a degree in Nursing and have a valid, clear license as a Registered Nurse.

·  Three years of management experience in the healthcare field required.

 

Skills:

Candidates and incumbents need to have the following skills;

·  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

·  Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Working knowledge of PeopleSoft preferable.

·  Good organizational skills and time management skills are necessary.

·  Must have strong interpersonal skills with an ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Must also have experience in building and motivating teams.

·  Strong decision making skills and problem solving skills including the ability to extrapolate from written procedures and policies.

·  Good prioritization and multi-tasking skills and the ability to work in fast-paced environment including the ability to work under tight deadlines.

·  Position continually requires professionalism, poise, tact and diplomacy. It also requires the ability to work inter-departmentally with communication, leadership, and cooperation.

·  Must have a flexible work schedule and be able to work occasional extended hours.
