Coder/Reimbursement Specialist II

Schedule: FT Shift: Day Hours: 8A-5P Pay $14-19/hr based on Experience

Description: Under the direct supervision of the Director/Manager, the Coding/Reimbursement Specialist II performs functions of coding diagnoses and procedures from ambulatory/outpatient center/clinic records.

Qualifications:
RHIA/RHIT eligible with successful completion of an associate degree program in Health Information Technology (HIT)
OR bachelors degree program in Health Information Management (HIM).
OR One year previous outpatient coding experience required and credentials as a Certified Coding Associate (CCA)
OR Certified Professional Coder-Hospital (CPC-H)
OR a minimum of three years inpatient ICD-9 Coding experience and having successfully completed courses from an accredited school/college in Anatomy & Physiology, Medical Terminology, ICD-9, CPT coding required. AHIMA eligible certification, CCA or CPC-H.
