Job Description:1. Determines and monitors goals and work activity for the A/R collections department.2. Helps to develop and maintain reporting structure based on aging reports. 3. Monitors all policies and procedures and recommends and implements changes.4. Ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including Medicaid and HIPAA and state specific collection laws.5. Tracks effort and results of collection staff including interaction with field personnel and outside attorney.6. Reviews and manages collection staff activity, including coordination with field personnel and outside attorney or collection agency activity.7. Audits delinquent accounts considered uncollectible to ensure maximum efforts have been taken before assigning bad debt status to accounts.8. Manages dunning and collections processing and monthly AR aging status.9.Responsible for the professional and management development of department staff.10. Assists in managing collection agency placement and reports on collection agency results.

We seek the following qualifications: SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Manages 8-12 employees in collection department. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training associates; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

In addition, the individual must be able to travel by air on company business, as required by the responsibilities and expectations of the job. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with interfacing and financial software preferred. Must possess strong PC skills including, but not limited to Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
