Join us today for an inspired and purposeful mix of professional growth opportunities and personal rewards. Primary Responsibilities:  Collection of delinquent premiums / fees from active UnitedHealth Group customers using various collection methods Track the status of customers sent to internal and external collections agencies Aggressively collect outstanding premium / fees owed Partner with Health Plans, billing representatives, customers and other departments to resolve outstanding balance issues Perform routine Quality Service calls according to the designed timeline Refer terminated groups to collection agencies and CCT within defined guidelines Serve as liaison between Billing and internal / external collections agencies Establish and demonstrate competency in billing and accounts receivable applications Track status of group sent to internal and external collection agencies Proactively seek to further develop billing and accounts receivable competencies Perform analysis and validation of documents and reports Maintain timely, accurate documentation for all appropriate transactions Make corrections and adjustments Resolve routine questions and problems, referring more complex problems to higher levels Adapt procedures, processes, and techniques to meet the more complex position requirements Participate in load balancing (e.g. reconciliation, answering phones) Address special (ad / hoc) projects as appropriate Keep management abreast of all outstanding issues Seek involvement in continuous quality improvement initiativesQualifications:  Willing to work and contribute in a team environment Execute own assignments under direction of experienced staff Balance and prioritize multiple tasks Flexible to change Responsive to management's requests and suggestion; takes direction Develops goals for self and monitors progress Seeks assistance as appropriate Troubleshoot problems Completes assignments thoroughly, accurately and on time Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills Persist at tasks and maintain high energy level Listen effectively Seeks additional job responsibilities Aptitude for Billing / Finance processes, practices, and concepts Demonstrated experience with collections policies and procedures Basic knowledge of the managed care industry Customer Service orientation.
