Manages all aspects of daily operations for The HealthSource (PPH’s community health education program) and its reporting departments. Leads team in the planning, development and implementation of community health education classes, screenings and support groups utilizing PPH health professionals and outside agencies. Responsible for teaching clinical preventive health lectures on a variety of topics such as stroke awareness, nutrition, cholesterol, menopause, osteoporosis, fitness, heart health, blood pressure and more. Conducts community health screenings including glucose, blood pressure, cholesterol, body composition and stroke risk assessment. Certified to teach CPR and First Aid classes. Coordinates the annual PPH community influenza vaccination initiative – scheduling and implementing more than 40 clinics throughout the district. Coordinates community TB testing sites as requested. Provides RN supervision to the PPH Cancer Resource Centers, the Women’s Health Connection and Boutique and the PPH Childbirth and Lactation Education program. Identifies and coordinates at least one major health project that will enhance the health and well-being of PPH service area residents. Actively participates in maintaining the The HealthSource call center for physician referral and class enrollment. Flexible and available to work some weekends and evenings, primarily during flu shot season and for other events such as community street fairs, health conferences, etc. Performs other duties as assigned.  Follows PPH rules, policies, procedures, applicable laws, and standards.  Carries out the mission, vision, values, and quality commitment of PPH.

Required CA RN.  MSN preferred. 5-7 years previously demonstrated health education and management experience required, 10 years preferred. CPR, First Aid certified instructor and Certified Health Education Specialist preferred.
