Community Support and Therapeutic Support Staff
WE WILL BE HOLDING AN OPEN HOUSE ON TUESDAY 5/20/08 FROM 2P-6P AT OUR CORPORATE OFFICE 1425 FORBES AVENUE 3RD FLOOR PITTSBURGH, PA 15219 - ONSITE INTERVIEWS WILL BE CONDUCTED
SharpVisions is an innovative nonprofit human services organization providing customized supports for people with challenging disabilities. We are currently seeking Community Support Staff (CSS) and Therapeutic Support Staff (TSS) for our Creative Connections Program.
The CSS and TSS are responsible for implementing all aspects of specific program-related plans for their client.
Essential Functions (not inclusive)
Provide direct assistance to each person supported in all areas, including (but not limited to) social and emotional support, participation in activities and organizations, communication assistance, crisis intervention, medication administration and personal care
Participate as a member of the Support and/or Treatment Team - in the development and implementation of person centered plans, circles of support, individual treatment plans, personal goals and support plans for psychiatric, behavioral or other concerns
Provide transportation, scheduling, communication and other necessary assistance to each person supported related to their medical, dental and therapy appointments
Provide assistance with maintaining their home including(but not limited to) housekeeping, yard care, cooking, laundry, shopping and errands
Document progress per treatment session on progress reports
Appropriately use and account for all funds belonging to the person supported
Provide role modeling and informal training to other staff
Ensure that all actions are consistent with the agency mission
CSS are required to have a high school diploma or GED plus 1 year experience working with people in a service capacity - 18 yrs of age, valid driver's license and transportation
TSS are required to have a bachelor's degree (preferably in a social services field) plus 1 year experience working with people in a service capacity - 18 yrs of age, valid driver's license and transportation
