Compensation and Benefits Analyst

Compensation and Benefits Analyst

 

·        Assists in the administration of the annual performance management program and provides guidance to managers regarding compensation policies and processes.

 

·        Assists with the design, development and administration of ViaHealth wage and salary program(s) and the application of state and federal labor laws. 

 

·        Assists in the analysis of new and existing benefits programs and in the administration of all Via Health benefit programs.

 

·        Provides guidance to members of human resources department, management and general employee population regarding benefits policies and procedures.

 

·        Evaluates and recommends salary changes for employee promotion or demotion and the hiring rates for experienced outside candidates.

 

·        Conducts salary reviews on individuals and employee groups as requested checking for appropriateness of pay.

 

·        Assists in the administration of employee benefit programs, including medical, prescription, dental, vision, flexible spending accounts, COBRA, disability, life/AD&D and 403(b).

 

·        Participates in the open enrollment process including preparatory meetings, staff roll out, supporting the on-line enrollment centers, and enrollment system testing.

 

·        Responds to requests for information from government entities such as CMS Data Questionnaire, etc.

 

·        Assists with reconciliation of insurance invoices, maintains eligibility information, researches and resolves discrepancies, and ensuring accurate & timely payments with no disruption in coverage.

 

·        Collects monthly premium payments from inactive employees and maintains accurate record of premiums owed and received.

 

 

Requirements

Bachelors Degree in a Human Resource or Business Administration and a minimum of three years of Compensation and Benefit experience are required.   Qualified candidate must have a thorough understanding of requirements of COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, and IRS rules on pertinent benefit programs. The demonstrated ability to analyze & solve complex problems and to articulate ideas clearly and concisely in a variety of settings are a must.  Proficiency with Microsoft Excel®, Word® and other Microsoft products are essential.  The ability to effectively manage multiple projects with overlapping priorities concurrently is also a must.
