Controller (small company)

At ReMed, we take a functional approach to neurorehabilitation. For more than 20 years, we've developed programs to meet the diverse needs of clients with mild to severe acquired brain injury. We provide treatment for post concussion syndrome, stroke, memory loss, neurobehavioral issues, — and accident or sports-related head injuries.

We are currently hiring for a controller to oversee daily operations of the Accounting Team for our organization.

Duties Include: financial analysis, auditing petty cash for the program locations, researches and resolves complex vendor and funder issues, responsibility for monthly financial statements, including journal entries and related analysis, monthly bank reconciliations, monthly budget analysis, assists the CFO in annual audit and preparation of the annual budget. This position also manages the Accounting team.

Requirements Include: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or other Business related field, plus 2 to 4 years experience, preferably in the health care or insurance industry. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, analytical ability, expertise with Microsoft Excel, exceptional organizational skills, strong problem-solving ability, and time management skills. The culture of our organization requires someone who is creative, flexible and a team player. Supervisory experience is strongly preferred. Experience with Great Plains accounting software, medical billing and the non-profit industry are all a plus.
