DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR / REPORTING ANALYST

Database Administrator/Reporting AnalystPosition Summary: This position will be responsible for the reporting and analysis function related to Enrollment and Eligibility. This position will be required to work effectively as a team player and manage assignments within tight deadlines. Candidate must be an independent learner, a self-starter willing to initiate projects and anticipate customer's needs. In order to complete analyses, the Candidate must perform their own data extractions and manipulations using SQL Query Analyzer, MS Access, Crystal Report Writer 10, and other data extraction tools. The candidate must be able to determine methods to cross-check report results for accuracy.Key Responsibilities: · Ability to collect, manipulate and analyze Enrollment and Medicare data using SQL Query Analyzer, MS Access, Crystal Report Writer 10, and other data extraction tools. · Provide ad-hoc reporting to support Senior Management decision-making.· Conduct analysis of data issues within the Market Prominence (Oracle-based database) system to identify training issues or other root causes. · Ability to present information and recommendations accurately and effectively to internal customers. · Strong communication skills required.· Proven ability to participate in a team environment and support others. · Ability to translate operational requirements from Management to accurate system logic in order to achieve desired reports.· Ability to document business requirements and high-level system requirements. · Recognizes problems, recommends potential solutions, and implements those solutions. · Consistently makes sound recommendations and decisions. · Completes difficult assignments against tight schedules. Key Requirements:· Healthcare/Managed Care experience is preferred. · Minimum of 3 years relevant experience. · Proven ability to perform intermediate-level programming, program design and development using Visual Basic, MS Access, and SQL Server. · Development and use of PC applications for data analysis (specifically spreadsheet and database systems (MS Excel, MS Access) · Proficient in writing stored procedures, and Triggers in SQL Server 2000 or later · BS or BA or equivalent experience.Reporting Relationships:Reports to: Associate Director of Plan Operations Directed by: Associate Director of Plan Operations Supervises: None
