DC Regional Dental Director
Doral is adding a Regional Dental Director role to the Client Services Team. The Regional Dental Director is responsible for program management. provider retention, growth and support for the Medicaid and Medicare business in the District of Columbia, and the support for expansion of government dental programs in surrounding states. Specific responsibilities include:Develope a full understanding of the administration of the dental programs, including, but not limited to: benefit and authorization requirements for Plans and/or States, claims payment and the denial process, and a business understanding of ASO and Risk relationships.Develop knowledge and understanding of state and federal dental regulations, and proactively alert Doral staff of changes that are taking place.Provide leadership and education the provider community on the dental program; provide recommendations in managing the dental program efficiently and effectively.Provide support to participating providers, addressing questions or concerns on the dental program administration.Plan and facilitate provider workshops and orientation sessions, local seminars and national seminars to support dental programs.Represent Doral in a professional manner for the market, including meetings associated with the provider community (i.e. GDA, GDS, independent meetings).Proactively seek out opportunities to speak on the benefits of Medicaid and Medicare dental programs.Develop relationships and provide on-going education to departments of the State, management of Plans, and other leaders of the dental program.Provide updated summary reports to Doral management, identifying areas in which improvements can be made within the administration of the dental programs.Identify and assit with community opportunities for Doral to participate within, including, but not limited to: health fairs, dental screenings, back to school programs, etc.Develop an understanding of the oral health wellness and outreach programs Doral offers, working closely with Doral Dental Directors and staff as needed to implement initiatives.Review dental cases to represent Doral at fair hearings, as needed.Establish relationships with dental associations and key stakeholders in the surrounding region, helping to solidify new business in other states.Participate in dental advisory groups within the surrounding region, as assigned.Interpret contract benefits and design benefit plans for new business opportunities. Other duties as assigned.
Candidates for this role must have graduated from an accredited Dental School (D.D.S. or D.M.D.), must maintain an unrestricted dental license, must have a minimum 3years experience in govenerment dental programs and/or dental consulting, excellent oral and written communication skills, networking and negotiation skills, efficient PC Skills and have the ability to travel within region and out of state.
