Fort Bayard Medical Center is a state owned long term care facility located 8 miles east of Silver City, New Mexico. We are located in the southwestern part of the state.
The Center offers a full range of services to disabled and elderly residents designed to enhance the quality of life. We are licensed and certified and offer modern long-term care in a warm and friendly environment.

We tailor services to meet the individual needs of each resident and work closely with families.
The facility has 5 neighborhoods, on that has been designated as a veterans unit created to serve veterans, spouses of veterans and gold star parents. There is a social worker assigned to each neighborhood. We have in-house physicians and a Psychiatrist on contract.
The center also operates an 18-bed, 28 chemical dependency unit, and Home Care Case Management services

Job Purpose:
Assure optimal nutrition and hydration status of residents by performing regular assessments, developing care plans to improve/maintain residents' status and monitoring progress toward goals as a specified by VA, JCHCO, OBRA and State Licensing regulations.
Must possess a current license to practice as a Dietitian in New Mexico or eligibility for such licensure in accordance with New Mexico requirements at the time of hire. Successful completion of a criminal records check is required as a condition of employment or continued employment. Maintain current with continuing education requirements of CDR.
Offered salary is determined based on education and experience qualifications.
