More information may be obtained by checking out our website at www.chsb.org Qualified Candidates will be a Graduate of School of Respiratory Care or Cardiopulmonary Technology Baccalaureate in Business Administration/Management, Respiratory Care or health related field, with Masters degree preferred. Current California Respiratory Care Practitioner License.Current BCLS Certification by the AHA. Registered Respiratory Thereapist by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or as a Registered Cardiopulmonary Technologist (RCPT) by the National Cardiopulmonary Society (NCPS).ACLS Certification Three years progressively responsible managerial experience in an acute hospital setting. Demonstrative leadership skills, including ability to lead, delegate and follow through with decisions and activities related to: planning, directing, implementing and coordinating services; improving services, recommending, allocating and fiscally monitoring resources; recruiting, screening, hiring, orienting, and retaining qualified Ancillary management staff; writing proposals from programs, services and budgets compatible with hospital goals; and effective communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to creatively solve problems, develop partnerships with staff, medical staff, and customers and work collaboratively with other members of the leadership team. ¡°Position Summary: The Director, licensed by the State of California as a Respiratory Care Practitioner, under the direct supervision of the Senior Director of Ancillary Depts, is responsible for the performance and operations of Pulmonary/Neurology Services Respiratory Care, Pulmonary Laboratory, Arterial Blood Gas, Bronchoscopies, EKG, & EEG/Neuro at Community Hospital of San Bernardino (CHSB). In cooperation and collaboration with the various department Medical Directors, he/she assures the performance, quality and cost effectiveness in accordance with CHSB policies and State of California, Federal, JCAHO guidelines, standards, rules and regulations. In addition, he/she plans, organizes, directs, and controls activities; develops departmental policies and education programs in collaboration the Medical Directors; develops budgets and short and long range plans for facilities, equipment and personnel; and manages the utilization and competency of personnel, equipment and supply requirements to meet the needs of our patients and Medical Staff.
