DIRECTOR - RENAL SERVICES

At Trinitas Hospital, our great health care comes from outstanding employees and our commitment to an enriched work/life balanced environment.  Located in Elizabeth New Jersey, our 531 bed facility has the following outstanding role for a Director or Renal Services.

In this leadership role you will be responsible for the administrative duties for the renal program including three dialysis units, a chronic disease counseling service, CAPD and home programs.  This position will have day to day operations responsibilities for the hospital based acute/chronic unit.

Participating in establishing and maintaining programs and practices to ensure safety for patients and employees.

Promoting a compassionate, supportive, and therapeutic environment for patients, families, and staff.

Ensuring the department’s operations are effective and efficient.Acting as resource person for all matters pertaining to the Renal service department. Participating in the development of and implementation of the written directives which govern the operation of the Renal department.

Formulating short and long term goals for the department, which are consistent with the strategic plan of the Hospital.   Assuring that standards and regulations of governing bodies are maintained.

Generating ideas which will enhance and further the direction of the department. Contributing to marketing the hospital and the department.

Coordinates/Integrates inter/intradepartmental services by:  Coordinating plans of care /treatment/services with professionals in other disciplines,  Utilizing available institutional and community resources needed for quality patient care.

Collaborating with physicians by:  Assuring that patient care planning and delivery are in concert with the medical plan of care, Making patient rounds when possible,  Serving as a resource to other units in area(s) of specialty.Identifying needs and makes appropriate referrals to support services across the continuum.

Requirements for the position are; A valid New Jersey Registered Nurse license; A master's degree or advanced matriculation; A minimum of  five years of dialysis experience and a minimum of two years Renal administrative experience are required.
