DNA Histocompatibility Technologist

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Laboratory Technologist is responsible for performing all histocompatibility testing during regular work hours and 24-hour on-call, under the direction and approval of DNA lab supervisor, Asst Director – DNA laboratory, lab supervisor, lab manager and lab director(s).

GENERAL INFORMATION:

Responsibilities include: perform all DNA based HLA class I and Class II typing for laboratory. Monitor laboratory supplies and equipment performance. Present results for review to DNA lab supervisor, Asst Director – DNA Lab, lab supervisor, Lab Manager, Asst Director – DNA Lab and Lab Directors.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
BS or higher education

with at least 1 year work experience in human histocompatibility testing under the supervision of a qualified technical supervisor

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS:
Certified Histocompatibility Technologist (CHT) (ABHI) highly recommended
