Data Entry-Specimen Accessioner

Prepares laboratory specimens for designated departments/locations prior to laboratory analysis and testing. Unpacks specimens from branches or ports and routes specimens by type to various staging areas. Prepares all specimens received for testing in designated laboratory departments or locations such as staging of specimens, centrifuge, separate serum, and blood smears. Aliquots sample for departments. Prepares excess specimen samples for storage and resolves and document problem specimens.  The hours for this position are 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM, Monday-Friday with alternate Sat. hours 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM.  This second shift position is eligible for an 8% shift differential in addition to base pay. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent w/1-2 years of experience. Applicant must be able to demonstrate (via a typing test) 8,000 KSPH with 2% or less error rate.
