Member Service Specialist - Dental Call Center Representative

Are you a former dental assistant who’s interested in taking your dental knowledge to another level by working at a dental benefits plan? Are you a bright, resourceful, enthusiastic problem-solver who is service and results oriented? If so, we may have the position for you as a Member Service Specialist.
Dental Health Services is a leader in providing dental benefit solutions for employers and individuals throughout California, Oregon and Washington. We are committed to providing our members and clients outstanding customer service regarding dental plan benefit coverage, provider access, care and treatment and enrollment information.
Summary of Duties
As a Member Service Specialist you will answer calls from our members, dentists and dental staff regarding dental benefits. You will be responsible for promptly identifying issues or concerns and responding to member and dental office inquiries. You will be their advocate as you listen and deliver superior customer assistance in a fun and supportive environment.
Daily responsibilities include verifying member eligibility, explanation of benefits and how our plans work and internally communicating necessary information to various departments.
Qualifications
Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures REQUIRED (prior dental office experience highly preferred)Bilingual English/Spanish (or multi-lingual) highly preferred, but not requiredAA degree preferred, but not requiredPrevious experience in a customer service call center helpfulExcellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills a must Basic PC literacy requiredType 40wpm +Well organizedDetail-oriented
