Diagnostic Account Representative

Legacy Health System, located in the Portland Metro Area, is currently recruiting for a Diagnostic Account Representative.  The position serves as coordinator of Marketing, Sales and Customer Service activity for Imaging and Laboratory Services (Diagnostic Services) for major client accounts. Will assist in developing customer-oriented programs for customer service satisfaction.  Maintains a good working knowledge of departmental procedures, an understanding of the technological advances within the specialties, and the sales and marketing techniques to promote and sell services to customers.  Legacy Health Systems Diagnostic Services is an integrated service.  Works with Imaging, Lab and Marketing Directors, as well as the manager to set sales and service goals.  Staff may be assigned to different facilities, clients and areas in the system.  There will be some travel throughout Oregon and the northwest.

Five years of related work experience required; experience may be either with technical disciplines or in sales and customer service, or a combination of these areas. Experience preparing sales presentations, quotes and sales proposals preferred.  A Bachelor's degree or equivalent direct job experience; Master’s degree in Biological Sciences, Healthcare Administration or Business Administration is preferred. AART,  MT (ASCPT) or MLT (ASCP) is strongly preferred; will accept three years of medical or healthcare sales experience or three years of experience in the field of Imaging or Clinical Lab in lieu of certification/licensure.

In addition, the incumbant should be conversant in all aspects of laboratory testing and demonstrated ability to advise customers on testing regulations and policy guidelines.  Must have a demonstrated skill in contract negotiation and proposal preparation. Demonstrated ability to remain flexible and adapt to rapidly changing healthcare and employment markets and have strong written and verbal communication skills. Must have the ability to initiate and conduct sales encounters with prospective customers and present a professional image of Legacy to the public.  Ability to manage assigned territory with technically advanced tools, showing strong self-motivation.  Skills to lead a five person sales team are preferred as well as knowledge of competition and comparable service in market.
