Dialysis Technician

Requirements: Certified Nursing Assistant,Licensed Practical Nurse, a graduate of an approved Dialysis Technician Program, or previous experience as a Dialysis Technician. Flexibility in scheduling to meet the staffing needs of the unit. Ability to utilize effective communication in patient/staff/physician/interdepartmental relationships. Able to maintain stable performance levels under conditions of pressure and multiple demands. Maintains Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification. Meets all unit/department specific competencies within specified time frame.Must be able to float between Dialysis East,Dialysis West and In-patient dialysis Unit as needed. Must be flexible in work hours of 8-10-12 hour shifts as needed. Must have a outgoing and friendly personality to deal with chronically ill dialysis patients. Description: The Dialysis Technician, under the direct supervision of the Patient Care Coordinator, provides various direct and indirect patient care activities, including initiating, monitoring, and terminating hemodialysis treatments. Care is provided in accordance with All Saints and Hemodialysis policies and procedures. Care is provided that is sensitive to the unique needs of the ages served by the unit.
