Job DescriptionUnder the direction of the Food Service Supervisor, the Diet Aide performs a variety of patient food service, preparation service, dining room service and dish room services, and a variety of other related tasks. The Diet Aide assists with physical inventory of regular food items; assembles foods and service items needed for catered events; prepares food items and assembles prepared foods for patient trays, delivers trays to dining room, or nursing units, works in the dish washing area as needed; and all other duties as assigned. The Diet Aide is expected to adhere to facility and departmental policies and procedures, and to follow proper sanitation, safety and infection control policies. This position does NOT provide direct patient care.
