Diet Technician

Northeast Rehabilitation Health Network is an integrated health network for rehabilitation providing comprehensive inpatient, outpatient and home health care programs, serving pediatric and adult populations in Southern New Hampshire and Massachusetts. We are seeking a full-time Diet Technician whose responsibilities include the collection and review of nutrition screening information and completing nutrition assessments. The diet technician will monitor the nutritional status of the patients and assist with counseling patients and their family members on basic Medical Nutrition Therapy. The diet technician will participate in completing calorie counts, obtaining food preferences, entering diets electronically and assisting patients with menu selection.

Qualified applicants wil have graduated from an accredited school with a Bachelor's Degree in Food or Nutrition or an Associate's degree in Dietetic Technology. DTR certification preferred, but not required. Knowledge of nutritional food values, meal planning and therapeutic menu processes is essential. Must demonstrate and maintain current knowledge and skill in providing appropriate care for pediatric, adult and geriatric patients. Must be able to effectively communicate with others; weekend duty will be part of the regular assignment.
