Job DescriptionUsing discretion and independent judgment, the Director of Quality/Risk Management is responsible for the coordination, development and evaluation of all outcome activities including, but not limited to, Risk Management, Quality Improvement, Program Evaluation and the Satisfaction Survey (patient/family). They are also responsible for communication of results and participation in development of strategies for improvement as a member of the facility management team. This position does not provide direct patient care. This position requires a minimum of 3 years work experience, or equivalent, in a hospital setting. This position requires experience in interpretation of raw data and comparative analysis, experience in conducting educational in-services, experience in coordinating and supervising accreditation/certification survey activities for JCAHO, CARF, HCFA, State licensure and demonstrated experience in working effectively with multiple departments on confidential issues in a positive, constructive manner. This position should be knowledgeable in the principles of continuous quality improvement. Experience in Risk Management systems and experience in working with the public on issues related to satisfaction/complaints is desired. Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality preferred.
