A Direct Care Counselor is responsible for developing meaningful relationships with clients/families dealing with a variety of mental health needs in home based and community settings. Additionally, responsible for assisting clients in the finding of areas of competencies, building on competencies, locating community supports and in the development of psychosocial skills. Counselors are required to transport clients when appropriate. Counselors are also responsible for the development of written assessments, some treatment planning, case presentation and review. Some pager coverage required.  Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or related field required. Reliable transportation a must. Bilingual skills preferred.
