Direct Support Professional - 3

Work in a residential setting assisting female consumers in becoming self-sufficient, self-advocating, self-driven, self-actualized individuals. Daily responsibilities include: assisting consumers to achieve and exceed their personal goals; provide structure and emotional support; assist in the facilitation of resolving behavioral issues; assist consumers with personal hygiene including toileting and showering; manage and dispense medication; complete detailed, accurate documentation as assigned; and transport consumers to and from medical appointments and recreation activities using Agency vehicles. DSPs must communicate effectively with consumers and families. Cooking and light housekeeping may also be required. Pay differential due to physical requirements of position



Clean, valid New York State drivers license and High School diploma or equivalent required. One year experience as a CNA or working with the MRDDopulation required. Must obtain and maintain AMAP (within six months of hire) and SCIP certifications. Attendance at monthly staff meetings required.
