  (Full time position, however part time candidates will be considered)

The Arc of Greater Lawrence (ArcGL) has been in existence for approximately 6 years, providing services to families in Lawrence, Andover, North Andover and Methuen.  The ArcGL has the goal of working to help families of children with disabilities to successfully manage their lives and their children’s lives as they develop and grow.


The Director of this program must be able to actively support the needs of families including special education advocacy, recreation and activities development; long-term care planning and developing community partnerships that broaden service supports. You will provide and oversee case management services to families in need, work with school systems in support of the needs of children, coordinate integrated recreational activities for families, link families to identified community resources, develop community partnerships that foster integrated opportunities, and provide support and education avenues for families.

 

Requirements 

Bachelor’s degree, experience in disabilities advocacy and support, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the energy and passion to improve the services and lives of families of children with disabilities. Also needed are solid organizational skills, comfort in networking locally to expand services, and solid functional management skills.  Bi-lingual English/Spanish is strongly preferred.
