Director, Business Development - West Coast

We are seeking an experienced health care sales executive who will work closely the SVP of Business Development in marketing Urix business intelligence and risk adjustment software directly to health plans, employers, and providers in the West. In this role you will be responsible for generating leads and qualifying sales; generating awareness of Urix products and services by attending, exhibiting and presenting at industry conferences; negotiating contracts with direct customers, as well as through vendor partners;  identifying and coordinating Urix responses to RFPs; and working closely with Urix research, product management and client services.

 

Our ideal candidate will have 7+ years experience in health care information technology and/or health care consulting, an in-depth understanding of health care data analysis and actuarial science, including exposure/understanding of population-based risk assessment and experience working with consulting firms, including actuarial and reimbursement specialists, and OEM vendor. Knowledge of reinsurance and/or pharmaceutical markets is highly desirable. Must have outstanding communication skills and the ability to interact with senior-level management. Graduate degree in a relevant field (MPH, MBA, PhD) a plus but not required

 

The position can be either home based in the West or in our Boston headquarters. Approximately 50% travel. Salary is commensurate with experience and includes a sales-based commission plan.
