Job DescriptionThe Director of Corporate Treasury is responsible for management of the company¿s debt position including the review and substantiation of all balance sheet, and income statement accounts, monitoring of debt covenant compliance, and the evaluation of new financing opportunities, debt restructurings, and hedging strategies. The Director of Corporate Treasury will work with a variety of departments within the company to forecast earnings and ensure debt covenants are in compliance. This person will be responsible for financial modeling of debt issuance and repurchase opportunities as well as alternative financing arrangements. The appropriate candidate for this position will demonstrate the ability to understand bond indentures, loan agreements and interest rate swaps. To successfully perform the functions of this job, the incumbent must have a thorough knowledge of finance and accounting principles and a working knowledge of forecasting. The job also requires the ability to understand and interpret financial statements and cash flow concepts.SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES1. Prepare monthly and quarterly borrowing position summaries with carrying values, accrued interest, and fair values. 2. Monitor and ensure compliance with all debt covenants.3. Develop and maintain spreadsheets for long term balance sheet and income statement forecasting and `what if¿ scenarios.4. Review and substantiate balance sheet and income statement accounts and disclosures pertaining to long term debt, preferred stock, interest rate swaps, etc. 5. Evaluate and make recommendations regarding lease vs. own opportunities.6. Assist with other treasury projects/items to accomplish department objectives.QUALIFICATIONS PROFILE:Bachelor¿s degree with at least five years of financial and/or accounting work experience. Thorough working knowledge of finance and spreadsheet applications required.
