Demonstrates Operational Expertise (70%)
- Ability to manage and rally the Kentucky Medicaid Team
- Implement and manage utilization management programs that meet or exceed performance requirements and desired clinical outcomes
- Designs strategic plan/ for continuous performance improvement
- Ensures proper and timely completion of team deliverables
- Provides the leadership necessary to maintain a motivated, productive and competent management team
- Creates an environment for learning and growth within the middle management leadership team
- Promotes positive change
- Conducts routine meetings and develops predictable and reliable communication methods
- Designs and ensures proper measurement of unit metrics (dashboard, etc)
- Constantly assessing for opportunity and efficiency
- Designs and drives process improvement projects
- Assists in the development of a budget and demonstrated ability to monitor and manage expenditures
- Attends routine offsite meetings with the client(s) as assigned ¡V EDS and the Commonwealth (Travel restricted to instate)
Strong Medical Management Background (30%)
- Past experience with medical management product development, implementation, monitoring and reporting preferred
- State Medicaid program experience preferred

Job Skills/Requirements
Requirements (All candidates)
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in nursing or business-related field required
- Masters degree in business or health care administration preferred
- Knowledge of Medical Management process, including staffing ratios, practice guidelines and staff development
- A combination of education and experience may be substituted unless prohibited by licensure or certification.
- Minimum of five years demonstrated progressive leadership and management experience in a senior management-level role.
- Must be able to successfully complete any required pre-employment testing.

All benefits are effective on the 29th day of employment with the exception of tuition reimbursement, which is effective after 90 days of employment.
