Job Description Shawnee Mission Medical CenterShawnee Mission Medical Center (SMMC) is 383-bed facility, the second largest in the Kansas City metropolitan area. The hospital also offers multiple services at satellite locations throughout the community. And because Shawnee Mission Medical Center is part of a network of more than 500 health care facilities sponsored by the Seventh-day Adventist Church, we promote a healing ministry that addresses each individual’s mind, body and spirit. SMMC earned recognition as one of the nation’s 100 Top Hospitals® by Solucient, the leading source of health care business intelligence, in three of the last four years (2002, 2004, 2005). In addition, Kansas State University in Manhattan and the University of Missouri in Columbia are each two hours away. The Description of the Position Shawnee Mission Medical Center has an exciting opportunity as the Director of our Corporate Care Clinics.  The Director has 24-hour accountability, authority and responsibility for quality of services, operational management, and human resource management for an assigned environment(s).  The Director fosters the integration of the organization’s vision and values, and accomplishes the mission and strategic plan through an accountable work team.  As a member of the multidisciplinary team, the Director collaborates with patients/customers, families, physicians, administration and associates to meet customer needs and expectations in a patient-focused and healing environment.
