Orthofix International N.V. (Orthofix) is an international publicly traded company (NASDAQ (GS): OFIX) who manufactures orthopedic products and offers a line of minimally invasive surgical, as well as non-surgical, products for the spine, reconstruction and trauma market sectors. We are currently in search of a Director of Corporate Tax to join our team. This position will be located at the Prudential Towers, Boston, MA.


Position Summary
The Director of Coporate Tax will be responsible for designing, implementing and overseeing all major aspects of the Company’s tax strategies, filings and research for both statutory and book reporting and compliance purposes.


Responsibilities
Review subsidiary quarterly and annual income tax provisions and deferred tax calculations Prepare consolidated income tax provision/FAS 109 and related footnote disclosures for 10-Q’s and 10-k Implement FAS 109 software (FASTrac 109) at corporate and subsidiary level and train subsidiary personnel Manage FIN 48 process, including updating tax positions, documenting new tax positions and maintaining compliance with FIN 48 Assist with the tax implications of FAS 123R including the APIC pool calculation Coordinate the preparations of and review federal and state income tax returns and quarterly estimate payments Manage/oversee tax examination process for US, State and International jurisdictions Develop tax communication stream within the organization to identify tax positions, tax examinations, etc. Identify and manage potential transfer pricing exposure and oversee annual transfer pricing studies Ensure the tax department is in compliance with the requirements of Section 404 of the Sarbanes Oxley Act Assist with the review, analysis, research and resolutions of tax issues Assist with special projects, including merger and acquisitions and provide tax planning advice Monitor Sales and Use tax within the US subsidiaries


Required ExperienceBachelor's Degree in Accounting Masters in Tax is desirable CPA 10 - 15 years of experience which should include Big 4 public accounting & multinational manufacturing corporate tax
