Director of HIM

Position ProfileThe Director of HIM manages the day-to-day operations of the department, including revenue cycle management, coding, transcription, and records compliance.  This position reports to the CFO and provides leadership to three direct reports.   Qualified candidates will have a minimum of two years HIM supervisory experience and possess RHIA, RHIT, or CCS certification.  Ideal candidates will demonstrate a participative leadership style, with proven success in medical staff relationship management.   Hospital ProfileThe hospital is a 47-bed, county owned, not-for-profit, acute care organization offering a wide array of services including general medical/surgical, intensive care, obstetrics, orthopedics, emergency medicine, a trauma center, hospice, diagnostic imaging, and pastoral care.  In addition, the hospital provides community services such as health fairs, health screenings, and meals on wheels.   The hospital is licensed by the Oklahoma Department of Health and is a member of the Oklahoma Hospital Association, as well as VHA.   Community ProfileLocated near Amarillo, Texas in the Oklahoma Panhandle, this community of 10,000 offers affordable housing, a thriving economy, and a crime rate significantly below the national average.  Educational opportunities are easily accessible to residents, including a strong public school system, private schools, colleges, and universities.  If you enjoy rural living, this friendly community is the place for you – enjoy festivals, fairs, and rodeos, with snow skiing just a few hours away!
