Director of Health Services (DHS) – RN


At Silverado Senior Living, we give life to those affected by Alzheimer's and other memory impairing diseases.  We are presently seeking a Director of Health Services to join our Assisted Living Community.
 

We are looking for candidates who have a passion for gerontology and working with individuals with Alzheimer's disease and other memory impairments.  This is a nursing leadership position with Silverado Senior Living, an award-winning dementia-care company.  

 

The DHS is a key leadership position for establishing excellence in nursing care in an interactive stimulating environment.  Pets, children and social interaction are fundamental to providing dignity and life for our residents.

The DHS will report to the VP of Health Services (VPHS).  In partnership with the VPHS, this position will be key in monitoring quality of nursing care to our dementia residents, mentoring and training of new nurses, team leading,  communication with families and physicians,  and assessment of residents’ health conditions. 

 

Ideal candidate experience and background include:

-  Current California RN or License in the state of CA.

-  Minimum of one year experience in general nursing

-  Experience with geriatric patients, and dementia care desirable.

-  Experience as a lead or charge nurse is desirable.
