Company: Northeast Health System Location: US-MA-Beverly Status: Full Time, Employee Job Category: Sales/Retail/Business Development Career Level: Manager (Manager/Supervisor of Staff) Reference Code: 803530 Director of Major Gifts Department: Northeast Health Foundation Schedule: Full time Shift: Day shift Hours: ~40 Hrs, days, Mon-Fri, 8:30a - 5p Job Details: - Bachelors degree is required The Director of Major Gifts is responsible for the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and closing a set target of major gifts annually; The Director of Major Gifts reports to the President of the Northeast Health Foundation and will assist with overall development of planning and implementation of the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship activities for foundation; Manage a portfolio of 100 major gift prospects ($50,000+); Identify prospects for major gifts and close on set goal of gifts annually in support of Northeast Health System/Beverly Hospital, capital improvements and other strategic initiatives; Conduct monthly goal of donor visits and provide visit and gift tracking data to Foundation President; Develop stewardship policies and recommendations to enhance donor recognition and stewardship program; Represent Northeast Health Foundation at off-site events and presentations; Local travel as appropriate to meet with prospects and donors. Responsible for assisting the foundation, including events and other initiatives. Requirements: Bachelor's degree required with seven to ten years experience with a demonstrated record of success in generating significant major gift commitments from individuals and families. Superior written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational and managerial capabilities, ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks also required. Public speaking experience and effectiveness necessary along with the ability to communicate and collaborate with colleagues at all levels. Must exercise significant judgment and confidentiality in working with prospects, volunteers, and Northeast Health System staff. Microsoft Office Suite and Blackbaud familiarity necessary.
