JOB SUMMARY
The Director of Marketing is responsible for directing the company’s overall marketing and strategic planning programs and company communications. The Director Marketing will facilitate client and employee development through marketing and client service programs.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, or related field; an MBA is required
· Minimum of 5 years experience in marketing, communications, or public relations with demonstrated success, preferably in the healthcare field
· Experience in Home Health and/or Home Care is required; Hospice experience is preferred
PLANNING & BUDGETING
· Responsible for the achievement of the marketing mission, goals, and financial objectives.
· Ensure that evaluation systems are in place related to these goals and objectives, and report progress to the CEO and the Board.
· Develop short- and long-term plans and budgets for the sales, marketing, and recruitment program and its activities, monitor progress, assure adherence, and evaluate performance.
· Recommend short- and long-term organizational goals and objectives to the CEO.
· Develop, implement, and monitor systems and procedures necessary to the smooth operation of the marketing, sales, and recruitment functions.
· Keep informed of developments in the fields of sales, marketing, and recruitment, and use this information to help the organization to operate with initiative and innovation.
SALES, MARKETING, & RECRUITMENT
· Responsible for creating, implementing, and measuring the success of a comprehensive sales, marketing, and recruitment program that will enhance the organization’s image and position within the marketplace and the general public, and facilitate internal and external communications
· Responsible for creating, implementing, and measuring the success of all of the organization’s sales, marketing, and recruitment activities and materials including publications, media relations, client acquisition, etc.
· Ensure articulation of the organization’s desired image and position, and assure consistent communication of image and position to all customers, internal and external
· Responsible for editorial direction, design, production, and distribution of all organizational publications
· Coordinate the appearance of all of the organization’s print and electronic materials such as business cards, letterhead, use of logo, brochures, etc.
· Ensure that the organization regularly conducts relevant market research and coordinate and oversee this activity, including monitoring trends
STRATEGY
· Work with senior and other staff members to develop and maintain a strategic perspective, based on marketplace needs, in organizational direction, program and services, and decision-making
· Ensure the overall health and vitality of the organization
· Help make sure that the organization’s mission, vision, and guiding philosophy are pertinent and practiced throughout the organization
· Develop and coordinate means to seek regular feedback from the organization’s key clients and referral sources regarding the quality of programs and services offered
· Help formulate and administer policies to ensure the integrity of the organization
· Act as an internal consultant to bring attention and solutions to organizational issues and priorities
MANAGING
· Maintain a climate that attracts, retains, and motivates top quality personnel, both paid and volunteer
· Recruit, train, appraise, supervise, develop, promote, and guide qualified personnel
· Ensure effective management within the sales, marketing, and recruitment function, with provision for succession
· Design, support, and oversee cross-functional teams throughout the organization
· Effectively enable staff members and staff so they can take action on behalf of the organization.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
· Have the ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
· Provide positive work and personal references.
· Submit to and receive satisfactory results of a criminal background check.
· Possess a caring and understanding attitude toward individuals who are elderly, disabled, or frail.
· Have the ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously, often under pressure, and be flexible to changes in priorities.
· Be proficient in Microsoft Office systems such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point.
· Have the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
· Possess attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
· Be able to think creatively in order to develop strategies for completing work.
