The Director of Materials Management is responsible overseeing the process to ensure that supplies and products are provided to all departments and clinical areas to facilitate optimal patient care. This will be achieved by planning and directing all activities and staff focused around the efficient and cost effective supply of material through the supply chain continuum. Operational direction provided to departments including Storeroom, Equipment, Linen, Mail, Escort and Receiving to insure consistent “best value”. Coordinates timely flow of supplies and materials to provide quality patient care and customer service at the most cost efficient manner possible. Baccalaureate degree in healthcare, business administration or related field. Masters degree in health care, finance/accounting or business administration preferred. Three to five years experience in management of an organization with demonstrated ability in finance, personnel and operational functions in a health care or business environment. Computer literate with knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software a must; knowledge of Lawson Serving Software desirable.
