Director of Maternal Services

 Position SummaryThe Director of Maternal Services will be responsible for managing daily operations of a five-suite LDR with one OR, an 18-bed post partum and gynecological surgery unit, the preadmission and patient education areas, and a level II nursery.  The position reports to the vice president of patient care services and oversees 55 FTEs.   Qualified candidates will be seasoned registered nurses with service line leadership experience, preferably with three to five years at the director-level, in maternal/child and LDRP care.  Individuals ready for the next step in their career are encouraged to apply.  The ideal individual will be a self-directed leader with a “big-picture” perspective who seeks input from staff and communicates effectively at all levels, as well as establishing collaborative relationships in cross-functional teams and committees to achieve organizational objectives.  Familiarity with industry trends and best practices and variable staffing based on productivity standards will help ensure the success of the individual.  A bachelor’s degree (BSN or related field) and current RN licensure are required; Master’s degree is preferred.   Hospital SummaryThis is a 164-bed, not-for-profit, Joint Commission and CARF-accredited hospital providing unmatched care for expecting mothers in its seven-county service area.  The facility is a member of a nationally recognized, faith-based healthcare organization dedicated to providing award-winning care; it is a family of 15 hospitals, 20 health and surgery centers, home-health providers, medical equipment and health service suppliers throughout a 46-county area in Central Ohio.  The health system has been recognized nationally by FORTUNE magazine as one of the “100 Best Companies to Work For" for the second year in a row.   The Center for New Beginnings features comfortable, home-like surroundings, as well as sleeping accommodations for the father or support person.  The birthing suite allows mothers to labor, deliver, and recover all in the same comfortable atmosphere.
