JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for securing and managing Long Term Care (LTC) purchase contracts with selected voluntary purchase and investor-owned organizations, as well as all LTC federal, state, and local government entities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop strategy for the identification, negotiation and close of national LTC agreements, contracts and RFP’s. Drive new account opportunities using the Hill-Rom value proposition. Partner with Hill-Rom sales team to develop and implement sales strategies related to national accounts (to include development of training on process and standard contract criteria). Develop performance metrics to support strategy. Manage book of business, to include regular reporting on contract performance, new revenue generation and revenue growth, to meet or exceed established targets. Participate in business and strategy reviews. Support SOP’s for the National Accounts department, including the established contract approval process. Work directly with Finance, Marketing, Field Sales Management, Contract Support and Service to develop business growth strategies and implement those strategies through our national agreements. Communicate National Account positioning both internally and externally to support business development, contract implementation and growth strategies. Serve as liaison between Hill-Rom and customer group executives. Assist Executive Director of Extended Care National Accounts in formulating and developing tactical and business plans for National Accounts Department. Maintain current working knowledge of Federal Government Acquisition and state acquisition rules. Establish and maintain relationships with key contract award decision makers. Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:Bachelors Degree required with focus on business, health care, marketing or finance. Healthcare/medical experience preferred. Clinical background is a plus. Strong interpersonal and communication skills; analytical problem-solving skills. A minimum of five years sales experience required. Three to five years of corporate account experience preferred. Progressive sales and business development record with proven performance achievement. Excellent presentation skills. Moderate computer literacy. Microsoft Office experience. Must be able to work independently and in team environment. Must be willing to travel 50% - 70% regionally. Exceptional communication skills. Outstanding planning and organization skills. Excellent analytical skills. Proven track record of successful contract negotiations.
